HI THERE!

My name is Nora (she/her). I am a psychotherapist registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I graduated with my Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University in 2016. I completed my practical training at Horizons Health Services in Lockport, New York and at the Niagara Eating Disorders outpatient program in Port Colbourne, ON. During this time, I worked with individuals who struggled with substance abuse, dual diagnosis and eating disorders.

I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioural framework while also incorporating evidence based  approaches such as mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills, motivational interviewing and solution focused brief therapy techniques.

In addition to private practice, I am currently employed as a psychometrist at Ontario Shores, in the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program. OSP is a provincially-funded initiative that provides evidence based treatment to individuals with mood  and anxiety based concerns. My role with OSP is to provide structured Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in an outpatient setting.

My practice is anti-oppressive, LGBTQ+ affirmative, and trauma-informed. I am especially committed to providing a compassion and strength-based approach where the goal is to challenge the inner critic while identifying one's resourcefulness in the face of adversity.
